Reflections on Inter-religious dialogue

The Vatican's idea of inter-religious dialogue seem to be confined within the three semitic religions -- Judaism, Christianity and Islam. The Asian religions like Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Zorastrianism or Shintoism seem to find no place. A Hindu preceptor Sri Ramakrishna
proclaimed in the 19th century that all religions lead to the same truth -- God. His disciple Swami Vivekananda proclaimed this teaching of his Guru in the World Parliament of Religions held in Chicago in 1893. More recently, Catholic theologians like Hans Kung and Jaques Dupuis have spoken on similar lines. Franciscan monk Henry Sachs and British monk Bede Griffiths have successfully blended the best in Hindu and Catholic monastic traditions.
